Young Carers have a VOYCE!voyce_logo

VOYCE (Views of Young Carers Explained) is one of only 30 projects nationally to have been funded by the Big Lottery Youth in Focus Programme. The Sheffield Project VOYCE began in November 2011 and will run until April 2016.

voyce-chalkboardVOYCE is the idea of young carers who came together to make a big difference to their lives, and brings together young carers, voluntary and statutory partners to:

  • Improve the confidence, knowledge and skills of young carers
  • Enable the voice of young carers to be heard and to influence and improve the services and support they receive

Chilypep is the lead partner for the project, managing participation of young people primarily through our young people’s steering group VOYCE PG. We are in partnership with Sheffield Young Carers Project and Interchange, who are our main delivery partners carrying out schools work and therapeutic support and activities to support young carers in the City. You can read more about the fantastic work of the project, including stories and blogs from young people themselves on the VOYCE website.

For more information about VOYCE, please contact Laura, Participation Coordinator laura.abbott@chilypep.org.uk or visit www.voyce.org.uk

We would like to say a massive thank you to the Big Lottery for making all this work possible!
